Inserting a video movie[edit]

into a presentation, e.g., a YouTube one ? I didn't see anything suitable in the clicked menu, and I might be wrong. since this is my 1st time doing this. Even 'save' din't help (only a picture was saved). בנצי (talk) 08:17, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Right clicking on video should produce "Copy video URL" and "Copy video URL at current time", either of which could be inserted into a presentation, and then require a click to take you back to video in YouTube. The "Copy embed code" attempts to run the video directly in a web page, but I don't know if that would work within a presentation. SinisterLefty (talk) 11:41, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There's more than one way, but one of the easiest is to copy-and-paste the URL into a text box on a slide. When you hit return after URL, it will create the link. Then test it by right-clicking and selecting "open link" or "open hyperlink" depending on which version of PowerPoint you're using. ←Baseball Bugs ^{What's up, Doc?} carrots→ 17:27, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the options I listed won't actually copy the video, only links to it. So, you would need Internet access during the presentation or you would get broken link errors. SinisterLefty (talk) 15:47, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
