Brother and sister in both movie and real life[edit]

After seeing a Facebook post about Star Wars, I got to thinking. In the first Star Wars movie (A New Hope, the first in real life but not the first in the story), Luke Skywalker falls in love with Leia Organa not realising she's his sister, as they were separated shortly after birth. Now Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher aren't very closely related in real life.

Have there been cases where actors who are really brother and sister have player characters who are also brother and sister, but as fictional characters instead of themselves? JIP | Talk 21:37, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This sort of casting is pretty common. I downloaded a 2017 version of the IMDB trivia list and searched for relevant words in it, and these are just the first 5 cases each that I found (in alphabetical order by title) on TV and in movies or TV-movies:

On TV:

Jesse Rath and Meaghan Rath as Carter and Erin Boyd on 18 to Life.
Jesse Rath and Meaghan Rath, again, as Robbie and Sally Malik on Being Human.
Jesse Moss and Tegan Moss in Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode "The Tale of C7".
Hunter Foster and Sutton Foster as Scotty and Michelle Simms on Bunheads.
David Tom and Nicholle Tom as Georgie and Connie Galen in Criminal Minds episode "Damaged".

In Movies or TV-movies:

Is this the ne plus ultra of casting brothers as brothers? In The Long Riders Stacy and James Keach play Frank and Jesse James, Dennis and Randy Quaid play Ed and Clell Miller, Christopher and Nicholas Guest play Charley and Robert Ford, and David, Keith and Robert Carradine play Cole, Jim and Bob Younger.
