Looking for old version of American Revolution article[edit]

A few years ago the article on the American Revolutionary War had a section titled "Analysis of Combatants", which was the best write up I've seen describing the advantages and disadvantages of both sides. That article went through heavy editing from September to November. This edit seems to be the beginning of the refactoring which led to the demise of the section you mentioned... AnonMoos (talk) 08:44, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you simply want to read the “old” versions of any article, you can do so by scrolling through the page’s “history” (in desktop view, the page history can be viewed by clicking a button found at the top of the page... not sure how you view it in mobile view). As Alan says, if you want to restore some (or all) of this “old” text, start a discussion on the article talk page and see if there is consensus to restore it. The section was first renamed "Contributing combatants" and next "Contributing elements". It was deleted as the culmination of three consecutive edits that refactored the content, distributing it over other sections. --Lambiam 14:29, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Namesake of Moremi Game Reserve[edit]

Hi all, [1] says that the Moremi Game Reserve was named after Elizabeth Pulane Moremi, but our article says it was named after her husband. Can anyone determine which is correct? Eddie891 ^Talk _Work 18:21, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since the article doesn't cite a source, I'd go with the source you found. The editor of the article possibly made an assumption. 2603:6081:1C00:1187:DC5F:A057:A4EC:E7E4 (talk) 19:37, 28 January 2021 (UTC) . . . However, this source states: it was the King's wife who wanted more the reserve and called it Moremi, in honor of her husband Moremi III. And, the Moremi III article agrees with that, and cites Oxford Reference.[reply]
