January 20[edit]

Opposite of denialism[edit]

Denialism means you refuse to accept some popular fact in a way that makes people think you are crazy. What would be the opposite of this, something like accepting a popular fact so strongly that it is mental? KuhmoMan (talk) 12:30, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, nobody mentioned Ayn Rand, I'm impressed -- 19:33, 20 January 2014‎ 88.104.19.169

She is not an "-ism". KägeTorä - (影虎) (TALK) 19:53, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Denialism means refusing to accept a well-established fact, not just a "popular" fact. Accepting a well-established fact is called being reasonable. How strongly do you accept that 2+2=4? I don't think it's possible to accept it so strongly as to be mental. --Bowlhover (talk) 22:21, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
