Oldest immigrant ever and oldest murder victim ever[edit]

Questions about my new Omega Seamaster wristwatch[edit]

Hello. I just received an Omega Seamaster wristwatch for my birthday. I need to solve some issues about it though:

I looked throughout Omega's website but couldn't find one looking identical. It has 3 mini-faces: Days of the week next to the 9:00 position, 24-hour reading next to the 6:00, and a 31-day reading next to the 3:00. The background is a sophisticated-looking shade of blue. The "ring" around the face is just plain silver; no numbers like on divers' or sportsmen's models. Can someone narrow it down for me?
The palm-side where you press a button to take the watch off says "Omega Speedmaster PROFESSIONAL." I thought "Seamaster" and "Speedmaster" were different model-lines. Why do I see these two names on the one watch?
At the ends of the stainless steel "straps," on the underside of the watch face chassis, say some short serial numbers: "455 B1" is etched twice. Does "455 B1" mean anything to you?
How much would this watch resell for at a jeweler, in normal condition? At a pawn shop, if the resale price will be different?
I found a problem with a top corrector button: I wanted to set it to the correct day of the week; it wouldn't. I pressed harder, and I heard a click, and then the corrector button now comes out too easily. (The bottom corrector button, which sets the day of the month, worked fine.) A tiny spring bounced away and I can never find it again, after I tried to remove the spring from the hole the corrector button is in. Are replacement springs universal in size/shape/type?
What stores might we find watch replacement spring coils if other than jewelers?
How do I fix the corrector button's issue myself, if it's possible to do-it-yourself?
If I get a jeweler to fix this for me, how much may they charge?
What is the typical watch repairer's turnaround time?
I'll be headed out to ski at Monarch, Colorado tomorrow, and expect to be there until Sunday. Would any professional watch repairers happen to be nearby?
If I tried to resell it as is (with the top corrector button's issue still present), how much might it resell for at a jeweler? At a pawn shop?

re 8,9 & 11, there is no way of us giving you this information. Time & prices will vary greatly depending on whether or not the repairer. If they are part of a larger chain of Jewellers you would expect a fairly lengthy repair time as they would send off the watch to a dedicated repairer, whereas a local sole trader would repair it themselves. In relation to the Sole Trader it would massively depend on how busy he/she was as to how long it would take. Price is pretty impossible to give you as each retailer will have made their own price up for the service. gazhiley 10:24, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The description of the small dials and the silver ring makes it sound like a Aqua Terra, however I see no version of that with a blue background (sophisticated or not). There are several of the Speedmasters that can match the basic description of the watch face; but as far as I can tell only the so called moon watch is labelled 'professional' - and I can't see one of those without a tachometer ring. While it's hard to make a determination without having a professional look at the watch, the inconsistencies you list up (two names, don't match their catalogue, apparently faulty workmanship (ie: button fell off)) makes me wonder if you might have gotten your hand on a counterfeit watch - unless it's a Olympic Collection London 2012 model (still don't explain the two different labels though). Given how often this watch has been faked - and by so many different people - these inconsistencies sound like bad news. I googled for "counterfeit Omega Seamaster" (or speedmaster) and got a ton of useful sites with pictures of real and fake watches. question (Taco bell chihuahua in Geico commercial)[edit]

Listed is Taco bell chihuahua in Geico commerical, I believe it was the Gecko. Taco bell dog as far i recall never appeared in geico commerical.
