The Caribbean[edit]

If cities in most Caribbean Countries are small in Area, How come the Area is never shown on the pages for most Caribbean cities or towns? — Preceding unsigned comment added by C1z9e7c8h (talkcontribs) 01:03, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is true, it's because nobody has put the information onto those pages. --76.69.47.228 (talk) 01:13, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Cockburn Town shows its 17.39 km2 loud and proud, but Cockburn Town seems a little shy. It's big enough to grow a "huge" almond tree that keeps the locals happy, so maybe that's the important thing. Note the first article doesn't have a source, so could just be boasting. InedibleHulk (talk) 05:40, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It also possible that there may not be official town boundaries which would define a size. Hawaii is set up this way with the no official cities or towns, only counties. Rmhermen (talk) 19:16, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know whether you are in Honolulu or not then? Sagittarian Milky Way (talk) 20:05, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you want to know? --76.69.47.228 (talk) 20:36, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe for the same reason anyone ever wants to know where they are. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:14, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My mind leapt to one of my favourite lines from The Goon Show, when Eccles was asked by Neddie Seagoon "What are you doing here?" His response - "Everybody's gotta be somewhere." HiLo48 (talk) 00:00, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Myron Cohen had the same joke in his routine, albeit with Jewish accents. Starting at the 9:15 point of this clip.[1]Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 08:16, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like Cohen was mid 60s. Goon were mid 50s. Joke theft? HiLo48 (talk) 09:26, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The joke is probably a lot older than that. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 11:50, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, Spike Milligan, who of course played Eccles, claimed in one of his humorous autobiographical books to have originally made this quip during WW2 in reply to an officer who demanded to know why he was on the Parade ground (which Other Ranks were ordinarily not supposed to walk across when not on parade). {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.221.82.56 (talk) 16:07, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Two current usernames[edit]

Hello, when entering the en.wikipedia about one month ago I noticed that my username on it.wikipedia (Gab.pr) was "migrated" to the en.wiki but given in red, so I edited that page so that it appeared in blue, copying the content of the User:Gabodon page. I was in doubt about the correctness of this edit, but thought that by doing so I would have had only the Gab.pr username in both the Italian and English wikipedias.
Of course having two usernames is not right, so the question is: should I cancel the old username Gabodon? Thank you for your help. --Gab.pr (talk) 15:19, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Gab.pr and Gabodon: Actually, you're allowed to have more than one account here, depending on what you do with it. You could just set your Gab.pr userpage on the en.wikipedia to redirect to Gabodon, maybe put a note on user:Gabrodon noting that you have another account, and then just edit here with Gabrodon. And then do the same thing at it.wikipedia if they'll let you. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:25, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Does buying this product in this website in this link look like a scam?[edit]

https://www.cabinetprevalent.top/rare-gabrielle-renee-oconnor-replica-sais-from-xena-warrior-princess-p-19349.html It doesn't show the picture of the product and it says the country its from is unknown. Sphinxmystery (talk) 19:00, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replicas should not cost $50. Scamadvisor.com gives that site a 10% safety rating. I would not trust any deals on that site. Ian.thomson (talk) 20:17, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I could see "battle-ready" sais costing $50 no problem. Replicas that were never handled by anyone involved in the production of the show and will just sit on a shelf or be used in cosplay? No. Ian.thomson (talk) 20:19, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
