Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2010 October 19

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I was told my sources need to be more reliable, so I went back and updated each link in hopes of meeting this standard. Please let me know if this is acceptable at your convenience.

This article has been written as part of a University of Queensland (Australia) research project. The project focuses on a collection held at the University, and we have chosen to focus on P.N. Barnett to try to circulate more information about him. He was one of the only authorities on the Australian Bookplate tradition and there is little to no public knowledge of his work. Would appreciate some feedback as we are unused to this encyclopaedic style of writing, and feedback is needed for the presentation that goes along side of this article. Thanks

I am trying to post the basic information for "The Small Assassin", a short film produced by Chicago-based production company Beverly Ridge Pictures. The old version of this film was 35 minutes and screened privately for the cast and crew in 2007. Since that time, however, the filmmakers created a new 16 minute version of the film that will premiere in 2011. Please take a moment to verify this information. Thank you!

This is a new article I created. Please note my declaration of COI on the discussion page, which I won't repeat here (ok, I know Pete McCormack). I also discuss notability there, but in short, he directed an Oscar-shortlisted documentary, wrote several novels (one shortlisted for the Leacock, the biggest comic-writing award in Canada), and much much more.

I've never created a page before and I've attempted to follow all the guidelines and instructions but hoped to get some feedback before making it live.

Note that it's a translation of this page: http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Strubell_i_Trueta

thanks

This is my first article and I'm just looking for some constructive comments. I have no idea how to properly set up the discussion page. Thanks. Astudent0 (talk) 13:26, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please review my article and send me any comments or suggestions. Thank you. Hummingbird3 (talk) 14:05, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My article has been tagged as being written like an advertisement, despite inclusion of numerous third-party references. How can I make it acceptable as Wikipedia article? The article subject is a non-profit organization that has been very active and influential in the crane and lifting industry and has garnered significant press coverage since its establishment in 1995, so it should pass the tests of notability and verifiability.

This is my third attempt to get it right. Can I get feedback please, and if everything is good to go how do I take the next step to go live? I appreciate the feedback I've received thus far.

This is my first article so I am requesting feedback on the way I have written it. I believe the artist is notable and I have added a number of sources to indicate this, however I am not 100% sure of the way I have referenced within the article. Please confirm if it is correct or not. Regards, Voronoi

I am creating a page for thymineless death (TLD), a common phenomenon observed in various organisms by which cells are killed when starved for a DNA precursor. This topic is notable since it is the underlying process for the mechanism of action of several commonly used antibacterial and anticancer drugs

I created this page to describe Thymineless Death, which is the underlying biological process that leads to cell death, in a variety of organisms, upon thymine starvation. This is the underlying process for the mechanism of action for a variety of antibacterial and anticancer drugs.

Am new to contributing to Wiki. Worked to place enough reliable sources into the article. Also worked hard to maintain neutrality. Used Article Wizard. Please comment on and suggest improvements for article. I would like to push it live asap.

Thanks alot.

This is an article for a recording studio in Brooklyn NY. Just looking for general feedback before going live.

I just made a page on this political race because an article I was watching was tagged for deletion because too much of its info was about the race, not the article's topic. I've checked and it certainly seems to meet the notability criteria, especially with the plethora of secondary sources referenced. If you have constructive criticism, I'd appreciate it!Wikibojopayne (talk) 04:04, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
