Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 June 30

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saint Joseph Diocesan School or the SJDS is a basic education institution established 1987 by Msgr. John A. Blancaver with the help of the The Ladies of Charity. The school is located in President Roxas, Roxas City, Capiz, "SJDS" ventured in providing Quality Catholic education in the Philippines.

I am writing this article so to let everyone who searched about our school history since we don't have yet our own website to tell about us. We are celebrating this year our Silver Jubilee, as part of improving our teaching and going online, I am having this article posted here in wikipedia. This is my first contribution so please I am asking help to make it suitable here.

Sorry, but Wikipedia articles need to have a neutral point of view, and need to have sources cited. For example, just state the history as facts, without opinions as to how "strongly motivated" or people "who have given her heart and soul" etc. Read some exising articles for examples (although many school articles are not very well sourced either). There are also style issues, like too much bold face, no wikilinks, use of first person and "Mr & Mrs" titles, use of the logo twice (generally these are copyright by the institution, so you need to wait until the article is published, and apply for a "fair use" exemption on the English encyclopedia). Look here to see a list of school articles rated "good" as examples. W Nowicki (talk) 17:49, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on this article is very welcome. It contains general overview with advantages and disadvantages of an internet fax service provider. Thanks a lot for your time and expertise..

It looks like just an ad for your business, which is not appropriate for Wikipedia. W Nowicki (talk) 17:34, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And how, tagged for spam.   ArcAngel   (talk) ) 18:20, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can an admin user look at this page and tell me what tags they would put on it if it was made live. What issues does it have? M.watterson2 (talk) 13:11, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First, I'll note that anyone can add tags to an article, not just admins.
It's a decent start, but very weak on sourcing. The first reference simply confirms the company exists, and the next two are extremely brief write ups acknowledging that they have won a couple bids. That's pretty thin, and frankly, I'd be surprised if it survived a deletion request if there's nothing else. They've been around for 150 plus years, surely they've worked on something notable in that time?
Kudos for adding references, and forming them correctly, that's often one of the challenges for new editors.--SPhilbrickT 00:07, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ken_Burton I just need somebody to verify the accuracy of the information.[edit]

Just trying to get this page officiacialized so that the content can be expanded.

Everything looks to be in order to me... just looking for an extra set of eyes to look it over.

Mesingd (talk) 13:40, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It has zero references, which are now required in a biography.--SPhilbrickT 00:14, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think? Texasvodka (talk) 15:00, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please, we need some feedback on this page. It's a newly created page about one of the top women in the entertainment business. We really need feedback. Thanks so much, we appreciate it! :) The Debut Group (talk) 18:50, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Made this Wikipedia article and I wanted to get input/feedback by others.

Hello,

I would like to make sure that this draft is ready to be moved and published. I tried to move it but apparently my account was too new to do so at this time. I have provided sources for my article and added links as well. Let me know if this article is ready to be published.
