Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 September 21

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dear all, I'm Dirk and new on Wikipedia. Nice to meet you. I am writing on here as I created a page for a music producer from Luxembourg called DLS and I'm seeking advice on how to improve the page. Let me know about your thought. Thanks.

Dirk

  • Have copy-edited article to best of my ability and a few clean-ups. May need a little more work to improve clarity.
  • When transferring from user to mainspace, please do not use all UPPER CASE for title, just the R G and F.
  • Needs more in-line citations, as there are a lot of references, but only 3 citations.
  • Removed Wikipedia as references, as Wiki is not a reliable source for supporting material.
Thanks.

Indeed - please note Wiki is not a MySpace or Facebook, it is an encyclopedia. Pages about yourself in general are not supposed to be created except in your own userspace, with the objective of presenting yourself as a wikipedian, not a bird. • At the moment the layout does not conform to Wiki quality standards. You need to work through the Manual of Style and follow the guidelines to get it organised like a regular Wiki article.
  • References need citing in line with WP:CITE guidelines.
  • Table of Contents are automatically produced by Wiki, you don't need to type one, only create headings. See: WP:LAYOUT on creating an article.
  • Please avoid putting content in those preformatted dashed boxes, as they are not normally required.
  • None of the images work?
Would recommend you review the MOS concerns above, then request another RFF to address content, once done - please look at a few other Wiki articles, eg 3D TV, to see how the page should look once styled appropriately.

Please let me know which part of the article are still not in line with the wikipedia rules.

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia and would like to create my first article. I have created a draft of this at User:FionaSturgeon/ChangeBASE, however given that I work for this organisation I am keen to keep the article as detached as possible.

If somebody could take a look and tell me if this is suitable, or if changes should be made before I make this live, I'd really appreciate it. I have included links from three of the major vendors that we support and a client case study, however I'm not sure whether additional independent links are required.

Many thanks,

It's my first time writing an article for Wikipedia so I don't know whether or not I'm doing it right. I'd love some feedback!

This is my first article and I would like to make sure it stays up. I have used the article wizard and followed all instructions I found. Thank you!

I would like to receive feedback on the new WP entry that i have just written. although I consider myself experienced in the field (indeed i am writing a PhD on legal theory), this is my first Wikipedia article so i will appreciate comments in term of style, form etc. (feedback on the substance is more than welcome as well) As English is not my native language, i would appreciate any help in that respect as well.
