Issues to be mediated[edit]

Primary issues (added by the filing party)

As the talk-page discussion above shows, by taking the two versions of the paragraph and dissecting them phrase-by-phrase:

  1. Should the locale be mentioned even though none of the cited sources give it?
  2. Should we use wordier phrases rather that shorter phrases that say same the same thing?
  3. Should we add our own comments about what a cited source didn't say?
  4. Should an editor say, "Yeah I'm not going to read all that" when you calmly and carefully give him an easy-to-read, a bullet-point breakdown to give specific reasons why various edits violate various policies/guidelines?
  5. Should an editor blaspheme, insult you and tell you that he's going to add an uncited claim no matter what? "Jesus if you want to cry about it and make that big of a stink over something so stupid then we can use your wording here so long as that line is included."
Additional issues (added by other parties)

Parties' agreement to mediation[edit]

  1. Agree. Tenebrae (talk) 04:58, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decision of the Mediation Committee[edit]

  • Reject: Fails to satisfy prerequisite for mediation #4 "The parties must have first engaged in extensive discussion of the matter in dispute at the article talk page and discussion only through edit summaries will not suffice." One edit by Zdawg1029 does not constitute "extensive" discussion. For the Committee, TransporterMan (TALK) 21:21, 16 November 2014 (UTC) (Chairperson)[reply]
