Wikipedia:Survey notification/Solicit then inform

Based on your behavior and others', I'm wondering if you may have invited others to comment at a proposal. While there's certainly nothing wrong with doing that, even if you encourage them to take a particular position, those who do so at Wikipedia should note on the page in question that they have done so. This is because Wikipedia does not make use of votes, but rather gauges consensus.
