Unused, less-detailed versions of {{Porto Metro A}}–{{Porto Metro F}}, created in an obsolete format by a "one and done" editor (possibly a sockpuppet of Pumpie?). AlgaeGraphix (talk) 23:34, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This template doesn't seem particularly useful. It's only used on two pages: Breast-shaped hill and Slippery dick. I think most readers already realize that a) those pages' names are sort of funny, b) those are the articles' real titles and not a joke, and c) those pages will experience more vandalism than average, so I don't really see what purpose this template serves. Might even encourage vandalism by pointing out the silliness of the name. SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 22:05, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. I agree with the point that (1) this is not used much, (2) is pretty pointless and (3) we have existing ways of noticing and protecting articles that work just fine. Having this template around is a risk for future editors wasting time putting it then removing it and discussing it on articles, and as mentioned also invites vandalism. --Tom (LT) (talk) 00:30, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was merge to Template:Locostyles. czar 01:15, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging Template:Steam locomotive exhaust systems with Template:Locostyles.
As a section within the locomotive styles and designs template. PPEMES (talk) 10:25, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge these two small but related templates. Reduces template overhead and makes it easier to navigate between similar topic areas.--Tom (LT) (talk) 00:30, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge seems OK, neither is particularly big and they should both always appear on the same articles. Guy (help!) 16:45, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge but rename "Locomotive styles" to "Locomotive design" or Locomotive design features". "Styles" may have been okay for the original template but doesn't describe what we're merging into it, noting that there is also a proposal to merge Template:Locomotive running gear into it as well.
