Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty titleholders templates[edit]

This is a follow-up to Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 December 15#Template:Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty titleholders 2019 and includes the templates for other years. The templates fail much of WP:NAVBOX. They include 5 or 6 continental winners, although often some of these are red links. However this group have nothing in common and almost never mention the other continental winners, making the group unsuitable for a navbox. The templates contain other links but these always simply redirect to Miss World, articles like Miss World 2003 or other templates in the list. The Miss World article makes no mention of "Continental Queen of Beauty" at all, while the yearly articles have sections Miss World 2003#Continental Queens of Beauty which simply have an unreferenced list. There was an article List of Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty winners but this was turned into a redirect to Miss World in 2017 on the basis that no suitable reference was provided. In summary, the templates are not useful for navigation and, in addition, we have zero referenced sources for these awards Nigej (talk) 18:11, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No transclusions or documentation. Based on the only incoming link from a talk page, this image gallery was used in Ireland at the time of its creation, and it was single-article content at the time. It appears to have been replaced over time by other article content, like most of the other templates referenced in that discussion. Given that Irish parliament is a disambiguation page, it does not appear that this template has a useful home in multiple articles. – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:45, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No transclusions. It may be too soon, by at least a year, for this template to be useful. For the 2017 edition, qualifying matches did not happen until late 2015. If there is enough content for articles right now, this navbox may be useful enough to exist, just like {{Rlwc17}} and similar templates. Keep – Qualification has started so it at least serves the purpose of connecting the two. As we receive more information about the hosts the navbox will fill up as the infrastructure for the groups is already in place, just hidden. There have been plenty of Miss Argentina pageants since 1926. This WP:NAVBOX lets you jump between the two which have individual articles, 2011 and 2016, neither of which are anything special. I see no reason that this template should be kept, it was made by a now-blocked user. These are five institutes which have nothing in common except their name. They don't have centralized administration, consulting, admission, programmes, rules, guidelines or anything else in common. We don't have an article about them because the most we can have is a disambiguation page. @Nigej: Indeed, that is exactly my point. Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs) are a group of institutes overseen by the SPA council. They have much in common, and we have an article about them and indeed, a nav template too. The same applies to AIIMSs, IIMs etc. Each of those groups of institutes is centrally managed, administrated, budgeted or organized. A group may have common admission practices, rules or guidelines, and in sames cases share an Act. The so called "International Institutes of Information Technology" have none of these. They are not even of the same categorization of institutes: Naya Raipur and Bhubaneswar are state universities. Hyderabad and Bangalore are private institutes, which were deemed-to-be-university. Pune is actually an engineering college, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. All they share is a name. Delete, at least the ones that were not recently created. Most here should be straight uncontroversial deletions as they were replaced by a module. Some of these however were created in the last week or month. I'll repeat what I said in a previous discussion, I do not understand why an editor would create a simple template like a line template, that is just a text name, and not use it right away. I realized only after nominating that {{Leman Express color}} and {{Leman Express lines}} were created just a few days ago.
