This template has just three transclusions, all in article space. It appears to be intended to link to Wikipedia space for an explanation, but instead, it links to the template page. I suggest replacing these transclusions with a more widely accepted inline maintenance template, but I don't know which one would be best. No transclusions, except in the 2019 discussion that proposed it. It was, in the end, rejected there. The discussion meandered and talked about conversions and all sorts of options, but the final code in this template is trivial:

  • Ambivalent. I don't remember how widely I tried to spread {{dualdate}} when I introduced it in 2019. I think I might have deliberately not used it in articles, because of the one person who said "please hold off until a template expert looks at it" and then that never happened. (Inertia.) I see that as of 2023, Gavrilo Princip uses {{OldStyleDate}}; Assassination of Alexander II of Russia and Battle of Badr use plain text with no template at all. I still opine strongly that both places would look better to the reader if they used {{dualdate}}. I don't like the clunky visual appearance of {{OldStyleDate}}. I'm not going to go around Johnny-Appleseeding {{dualdate}} right now this week, so, if the syllogism is "it's unused so let's delete it," I guess let's delete it? OTOH, it would also be easy to replace the whole zoo of {{OldStyleDate}}, {{OldStyleDateDY}}, {{OldStyleDateNY}} with nothing but {{dualdate}}, if we wanted to do that. All of these templates are no longer used as they have been replaced by using the text on related military aircraft carrier articles. This table just (mostly) replicates Category:Greater Anglia franchise railway stations - with which there are some differences The only other thing it does is show which stations are request stops.   • Keep per Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and navigation templates the categories and templates are not redundant to one another and both have value. Additionally, as Mattdaviesdsic points out, these templates and categories exist for at least most TOCs so there should be a project-level discussion about them all as a set if you feel they are a maintenance burden rather than just this one individually. This is easily a navbox that can be covered by the main India navbox. Even on this template page in the see also section, it states that the main India template is "an expanded version of this template."
