This week we will be taking a moment to discuss the often overlooked history of music piracy, which will hopefully inform our discussion on peer-to -peer technology.

The required reading is Pop Music Pirate Hunters by Adrian Johns and can be found on Jstor.

Some easy supplementary reading can be found at Time, but it is not required.
