Wikipedia:WikiClubWest/City of Canning

In collaboration with the City of Canning Wikimedia Australia and its WA branch WikiClubWest will be giving a series of introduction sessions to Wikipedia and digitization of materials. These session will be to build community interest in supporting the Digitization Project that will focus on photographs, documents and items related to the history of the area. We'll also explore how people can expand articles on Wikipedia, add items to Wikidata, and of course upload media to Commons.

Introductory sessions started at 10am in each location;

Monday 20th May 2019 – Riverton Library -- to register on eventbrite
Saturday 8th June 2019 - Cannington Library
Thursday ~~27th June 2019~~ 4th July 2019 - Willetton Library
Monday 1st July 2019 - Bentley Library with WA WikiClubWest coordinator

During the school holidays we will host an all day event starting at 10am to digitize material from private collections and help the community get involved with Canning heritage and Wikipedia.
