Reviews of templates in this page should be updated on a regular basis, like every 6 months or so. Widely used templates do not radically change very often, so it should suffice.
Note that it is much more efficient to have the said templates in your watchlist, in order to monitor the changes. Here is a text list of the top 50 templates that you can easily copy-paste into your watchlist.
The list should be updated according to Wikipedia:Database reports/Templates transcluded on the most pages on a regular basis, in order to notice newly widely used templates.
Top 50[edit]
Let's begin with the top 50, and see what we can achieve there first. Templates are sorted by their level of impact on accessibility:
- "1: detrimental", this template contains elements that must be accessible, in order to conform to A accessibility guidelines.
- "2: important", this template contains elements that should be accessible, in order to conform to AA accessibility guidelines.
- "3: bonus", this template contains elements that could be accessible, in order to conform to AAA accessibility guidelines.
- "4a: none, internal" corresponds to template that cannot have any impact on accessibility, generally because they are only internal and doesn't have any effect on the result in the HTML generated - such as Template:!.
- "4b: not supposed to" are templates that are not supposed to have any impact on accessibility, but do have an effect on the result in the HTML generated. They are safe, unless they are significantly modified.
