FA (Featured Article)[edit]

Importance[edit]

Importance should be from the height of the State of Idaho. Meaning how important is it to the ENTIRE State.

Top[edit]

Idaho would not exist without this article. (See Idaho). Generally, things that might fall in the 90-95% ranking.

  • People (recognized internationally)
  • Biggest cities (top 5), Top 5 Counties
  • Biggest Landmarks ( top 10)
  • Politics: Top State positions, Party Pages, Most recent Election (maybe previous if just occurred)
  • Biggest Colleges/Universities (Top 5) - Example; BSU, but not BSU Football (High)
  • Snake River
  • Nationally recognized {Noun} - Sports Team,
  • National Forests (State forests are High)
  • International Businesses
  • Boise Airport
  • Flag and seal of Idaho

High[edit]

  • On going Lists: List of governors of Idaho
    • People (recognized Nationally)
  • Politics: State Legislature (State Senators and Representatives); National Elections within 20 yrs. State elections within 10yrs.
    • County Leaders
  • Anything that just missed a limit for Top (but above 75%);
    • Cities/counties 5-10 (top 25%)
    • Any "Yearly" article within the last decade or so.
    • State based Sports teams (that HAVE gone to a National Tournament/Bowl).
    • State Forests, Highways
    • US Only businesses

Article topic would need to be recognized by 50% of the residents. "Most" people would know about this or be affected by it.

  • Things that are Idaho Only.
  • People (recognized within Idaho)
    • City Leaders
  • Politics: Ex-National (State Senators and Representatives); National Elections within 10 elections. State elections within 20.
  • State based Sports teams (that have NOT gone to a National Tournament/Bowl).
  • IDaho Only businesses; no real presence outside the state

Low[edit]

Basically, everything else. BUT MUST still be WP:NOTABLE.

  • People: (born, living or died) in Idaho.
  • Politics: "Ran" for office, but did not win. Criminals in Idaho, etc.
  • Place: "IN" Idaho, not just referencing Idaho.
  • Things: Made in Idaho, not just bought/sold here.

Do NOT Create[edit]

  • Idaho Potato - See, it links to Potato (And Idaho is not even ON that article's Talk Page); as Idaho potatoes are not an actual "thing". Besides, the top crop is actually Onions
