Language is an important facet about our nation's history, culture and tradition. This is also of immense interest to visitors to India. At the same time, reliable information is not available. I suggest we make this article lean & mean & well-referenced.

While I respect VasuVR's choice, I would disagree with his comment. Firstly, its NOT a list. Secondly, of course, visitors from unilingual countries may be fascinated with India's diversity of languages. I also concur with Kautilya3's comment that the Indian people also need good information regarding this topic. My only request to editors is - please choose only one topic & vote, as voting for both/all choices is as good as not voting at all. In the final analysis, it doesn't matter to users of Wikipedia which article is improved though imho Languages of India deserves priority. AshLin (talk) 13:59, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The only reason I made a comment is that the phrase "immense" interest to visitors of India was mentioned. I agree on rest of the points. In my opinion, the deft definition of "Public opinion" is "What people think people think." :-) VasuVR (talk, contribs) 08:15, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • As a matter of fact, initially I was asked to vote for both the nominations. Then I was asked to remove one vote (I could not really understand this request, before too I used to vote for all the nominations I liked). Anyway, I have not voted Languages f India, because it is a broad subject, my lack of knowledge and lack of sources (I have at this moment).
