From the editors

Welcome to the fourth Bugle for 2024!

After last month's bare cupboard, the article news section includes five newly promoted A-class articles. Featured articles and pictures remain constant, three and five respectively being promoted in March.

The regular book reviews section continues to thrive; this month we have three entries by Hawkeye7, two by Nick-D, and one (a three-volume work) by Pickersgill-Cunliffe.

Hawkeye has also contributed an op-ed on a lecture by the current Australian official historian.

Contest department

The March edition of the contest department's article writing, and improvement, contest saw Sturmvogel 66 take the top spot in the contest with 58 points from 6 articles, all started at or brought to GA class. He claims the Wikichevrons as his prize. Zawed finished second in the March contest with 28 points from 4 articles, 1 brought to A class, and was awarded the Writer's Barnstar. Other entries in March were submitted by Catlemur, Djmaschek, Hog Farm, Pickersgill-Cunliffe and simongraham. Monthly totals are applied to the overall 2024 writer's cup, which will be decided at the end of December.

The April edition of the contest is now open. Please consider submitting your current article projects as entries into this friendly competition.
