Suggestions[edit]

  1. What about following the MUSTARD guidelines from the Music WikiProject? - NDCompuGeek 00:00, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Another suggestion: create a step-by-step framework or guide for creating or editing a musical instrument article. This would include standard recommended sections, non-standard optional sections, possibly a little bit into how to do in-line citations (now that it seems the FA process requires it), and maybe a sample "blank" article. Kind of like a boilerplate to work off of.... Good idea, bad idea, comments/criticisms/improvements, whaddya think? - NDCompuGeek 09:12, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Like the idea of a standard list of sections and a boilerplate. Good to have at least one really good well-written well-referenced article to point to as well.--Blouis79 21:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  3. For the playing ranges of instruments, they should have an svg of both written range and sounding range. Agreed? —ˈtɒdləˈtɒdɪ(Toddlertoddy) 03:20, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  4. I would want to see in any article about a musical instrument a section about notable uses where the instrument is featured in major musical genres (i.e. noted compositions in classical music, noted performers or recordings in jazz, rock music, and other relevant genres). This information, when it appears, is often scattered through the articles. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 20:01, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
