Here you may nominate your own NRHP photos, and !vote on the best photo.

Rules[edit]

  1. Any registered Wikipedia editor may nominate his or her own photo for the contest.
  2. Only one nominated photo per editor is allowed. The editor may change the nominated photo for a newer one until the nominations have been closed.
  3. All nominations should be placed in the gallery below, with a caption starting with the number of the nomination, and the name of the NRHP site. The editor's user name should not be included in the caption, but, of course, cannot be kept secret.
  4. All nominated photos must be taken and uploaded to Commons after Oct. 20, 2011.
  5. After 100 nominations, the nominations portion of the contest will be closed. Otherwise it will be closed at 12:01 am (NYT) Dec. 5.
  6. Starting on December 5, or the close of nominations if earlier, any registered Wikipedia editor may !vote for ONE (1) photo only. You may switch your vote if you reconsider, but you may not vote for your own photo.
  7. One week after the first !vote, the first round of !voting will be complete.
  8. After the completion of the first round, the judge will select a short list of about 10 photos that have received the largest number of !votes. If a large number of photos are tied for the final place on the short list, which would otherwise result in a short list of over 15 photos, the judge may exclude all these tied photos at their discretion.
  9. A day after the completion of the first round of !voting, the judge will post the short list and the second round of !voting will begin and last for one week.
  10. At the end of the week, the judge will consult his or her Ouija board(s) concerning any unanticipated circumstances and award barnstar(s).

Comments by the judge - Since there are eight photos nominated, we will just have one round of !voting. I have also moved the photos and !voting to the main photo contest page for greater visibility. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 05:35, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
