Environment of New York City Task Force[edit]
The Environment of New York City Task Force of WikiProject New York City works to create, edit, and upload information about the environments of NYC onto Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons. Initiated in 2020, the Environment of New York City Task Force has conducted yearly Earth Day edit-a-thons hosted at the Bushwick, Brooklyn based recycling center Sure We Can; as well as, developed an extensive environment of NYC themed article worklist (see below). Additionally, the task force documents and supports all environment related events in NYC. The Environment of New York City Task Force is supported by the local chapter of Wikipedia editors, Wikimedia New York City.
