This page is intended to help coordinate planning for Wikipedia's coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In the lead-up to the Games, it is intended to help coordinate the creation and promotion of articles related to them. During the Games, it will serve as a place to field questions and develop ideas for continued coverage. After the Games, it is intended to coordinate the improvement of the articles related to the Games, with the goal of encouraging recognized content related to them.

DYKs[edit]

Beginning in December, DYK hooks developed for the Games can be approved and then held over until the Games begin. To help with the creation and collection of DYK hooks, please check the DYK rules for creation or expansion and submit them on the normal DYK submissions page with a note asking for it to be reserved for display during the Olympics Games. Note that in addition to the suggestions below, many articles for the 2010 Games have yet to be created, and if they are created with a minimum of 1500 characters, they will immediately be eligible for DYK.
