The scope of articles for this project is wide ranging. Essentially any article about a civilian or military ship and ship classes are welcome. We also cover:

• Biography articles about ship builders and architects such as Andrew Higgins or Joshua Humphreys
• Nautical topics such as hull and mast
• Non-fictional publications such as DANFS
• Ship building companies such as Northrop Grumman

Some exceptions are

• Civilian ships that are under 100 ft (30 m) in length or tonnage of less than 100.
• Any article of a fictional nature
• Biography articles of ship owners, ship captains or military personnel
• Articles on ship weaponry and ship to ship battles.
