Creation tasks[edit]

Articles to be created[edit]

All star wars novels merit their own articles. Deckiller 17:40, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lists to be created[edit]

Main discussion: Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Star Wars

I think we should launch a project where we create more narrow charcter lists. I already mentioned splitting the minor jedi list into three lists. However, perhaps lists for old republic, rebel/NR characters, imperial officers, imperial soldiers/soldier classes, and so on. We'd probably end up with 14-17 lists, but it beats 125 one-two paragraph articles. Thoughts? Deckiller 02:31, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That makes a lot of sense, good idea. It would be nice if we could put it to practice. Adthegreat (talk) 18:04, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles that need major cleanup[edit]

Fancruft, copyvios, copyedits, point of view, and so on.

Just about every list, etc. — Deckiller 20:26, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that its sad that the main page of star wars hasnt been a featured article, so I would like to say I think we should fix the main page and try to get it as a Featured Article. Leapster 04:27, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lightsaber Combat just survived an AfD, but requires serious cleanup. Putting together a plan on its talk page. -- GJD 13:31, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tremayne needs major cleanup. I tweaked the lead paragraph to make clear the fictional nature of the character, but the article is not encyclopedic. Thanks!--killing sparrows 19:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Star Wars sequel trilogy also just survived a AfD an as such, requires a LOT of cleanup and maintenence, so it doesn't have to go for AfD again.--EclipseSSD (talk) 17:20, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Fleet Crisis, and the relevant books. Nedlum (talk) 03:16, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

REDIRECTs to long lists of characters[edit]

It would drammatically improve navigation for random surfers like me if character/species names would redirect to it's entry itself not just the list, for instance Orn Free Taa redirected to List of Star Wars Old Republic characters, but I changed the redirect to List of Star Wars Old Republic characters#Taa, Orn Free so you wouldn't have to look for the person/species in question in the list but you would be brought to it's entry just like if it was a separate article although it actually couldn't have a separate article IRL due to notability policies or something. 354d 18:02, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other tasks[edit]

Image problems[edit]

  • Image: AT-TE.jpg[1] used in AT-TE. Bad angle gives a misleading impression of the size and number of legs on the walker. Also, possibly copied from the Databank rather than actually being a screenshot as its copyright template states. -Graptor 66.42.129.227 11:25, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It does look blurry, someone should try and find a better picture. Jedi6-(need help?) 02:09, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well it's blurry because it's been blown up, it's been reshrunk where its used in the article, and looks fine. Better than anything I've been able to come up with to replace it. Every shot I can find is either: Distant, and therefore small, or has large portions of the walker obscured, or is motion-blurred. They're also all blurrier than the one in the article. Sadly the one in the article also hides the rear legs and the back half of the craft(which is why I noticed anyway.) Plus as I said, it looks like it was ripped off from the databank. I can't find that shot anywhere on the DVD. -Graptor 66.161.201.38 04:53, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A Shameless thing to do would be to copy the wookiepedian AT-TE picture which is quite clear. Tutmosis 01:17, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't blame you if you did, My three attempts at pulling one offa the DVD all came off badly. Small and fuzzy. Sadly they appear to have mostly been in the background in almost every scene they're in. Thought the wookieepedia image is lacking copyright and source info... -Graptor 66.42.135.81 22:43, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, before I forget again, if anyone wants to see, here's the three trimmed shots I took from the Epi II DvD, hosted on my filedump of a 'website'. Sadly they're all at full resolution...not downsized at all, just cropped. [2] [3] [4] (Note, I'll probably trim these off that 'site' at some point. If you're reading this and the links are dead, that's why. If it whines about the bandwidth, try back in an hour or so.) -Graptor 66.42.135.81 04:44, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded an image from a scan of Star Wars Empire 34: In the Shadows of Their Fathers ([5]) to fill in until yall find an screenshot that will fit the bill. --Skope 20:10, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Problem editors[edit]

  • 65.30.37.239 is at it again. He has vandalized several Star Wars pages (esp. KOTOR ones), and I have posted a warning on his talk page. If he makes any more vandalisms, I'm going to request that he is permanently banned - but anyone else may if they get to it before me. -Xol 22:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miscellanous[edit]

  • Succession boxes need to be cleaned out of fictional character articles; sboxes are for real-world titles and real-world people, not fictional characters and titles. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 01:03, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
