Also want to add that the big hole at Lane Cove Tunnel would be a nice picture, and is urgent because they might fix it. It's supposed to be filled with cement by now though. Newhoggy | Talk 13:16, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Can anyone help with any photos of any railway stations in Sydney? - We need them for the station pages if they are going to look any good... rail photographers don't usually like departing from their photos. (JROBBO 04:59, 12 January 2006 (UTC))

It should captures the arrangement of the station well - a good shot of the station platforms would be good, and perhaps one of the entrance if it's interesting or unique. Have a look at List of Melbourne railway stations and look at their photos of most stations - they are quite good. (JROBBO 09:12, 6 May 2006 (UTC))

More buildings request - can anyone help with illustrations for Harry Seidler or for buildings more generally to illustrate Australian architectural styles? Perhaps to inspire some rivalry, the article is currently well illustrated with buildings from Melbourne, Canberra, country NSW, even some Perth and Brisbane. The article did say "It is generally acepted within Architectural and Historical communities that Melbourne, Victoria contains the greatest depth of styles in Australia." While the assertion has been removed, it currently looks to be true, if we don't get any illustrations from Sydney to balance :-)--A Y Arktos 19:46, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

For the CityRail page, I am going to need photos of all the different types of trains. I'm not sure if the publicity shots from the CityRail website count as Fair Use, so some photos of each type of train would be excellent: that is, R/S/L Set (non-airconditioned silver train), K set, C set, V set (intercity trains) , T set (Tangara) , M set (Millenium Train), OSCar (H Set), Hunter Railcar, 620/720s, Endeavour. Sydney Harbour Crossings

I'm interested in doing a "Bridges in Sydney" or "Sydney Harbour Crossings" article, or something more expansive incorporating the many harbour crossings and harbour tributary crossings in Sydney. To do this, if anyone can get them, it would be great to get:

• Glebe Island Bridge (not the new one (ANZAC Bridge) for which there is already a photo), but the old swing bridge.

I'll try and get this one. I work on a boat that sometimes goes through the old bridge. I'll duck onto the deck next time and get a couple of shots. Witty lama 13:18, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

• The bridges in Parramatta over the river: the Marsden Bridge, Lennox Bridge, the other one without a name (carries O'Connell Street I think...), the Gasworks Bridge. Also the Camellia rail bridge between Rydalmere and Camellia stations on the Carlingford Line and the water pipe bridge next to it, and the couple of pedestrian bridges over the river between the Harbour Bridge and Parramatta as well.
• The James Ruse Drive bridge over the Parramatta River
• The bridge carrying Silverwater Road over the Parramatta River.
• Fig Tree Bridge
• Tarban Creek Bridge
• The bridges over the Lane Cove River at Epping Road, Lady Game Drive, etc.
• Sydney Harbour Tunnel
• Any other bridges over water without a photo

I'd probably add: Ryde Bridge (needs photo), John Whitton Bridge, and also the "Mortlake Ferry" / "Putney Punt Vehicular Ferry" from Putney to Mortlake which (if I understand correctly) operates mostly on weekends, and only maybe twice a day, and which takes cars across the harbour. I don't know if it's still operating, but I've been meaning to take that ferry for ages, just to try it! (Photo here). -- All the best, Nickj (t) 05:26, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Ryde Bridge has a photo at Wikimedia Commons - [[Image:Rydebridge1.jpg]] - one of the bridge from the Meadowbank side and one close up of the lift span. One from the Putney side would be good though. The correct title I think of the punt is the "Mortlake Punt" (but "Mortlake Ferry" should be a redirect. It operates all day on weekdays and a couple of times a day on weekends and public holidays. Thank you - it was the ".JPG" capitalization - i.e. Image:Rydebridge1.JPG, not Image:Rydebridge1.jpg; And I just have to say that the searching of commons is completely useless. E.g. how can this image search on "Ryde bridge" return no results?!!
