This article sets out some guidelines as what information should be included in articles for Sydney/New South Wales railway stations.

Style Options[edit]
- For Stations located with the Sydney Trains area except Sydney Metro only stations = Sydney Trains.
- For Sydney Metro only stations = Sydney Metro.
- For NSW TrainLink Intercity stations = NSW TrainLink.
- For NSW TrainLink Regional stations = NSW TranLink regional.
- Note - The NSW TrainLink regional Adjacent Stations module is used for style purposes only. The NSW TrainLink module is used for the definition of all NSW TrainLink lines.
Article Lead - Introduction[edit]
The opening sentence should read, according to WP:INTRO:
- '''STATION NAME (eg. Redfern railway station)''' is a [[Sydney Trains|railway]] station in [[SUBURB NAME, STATE|SUBURB NAME]], in the [[DISTRICT ARTICLE|DISTRICT NAME]] district.
Avoid saying that the suburb is the railway station such as:
- Redfern is a railway station in Sydney.

These are nested templates which should be placed after | services = as shown here for Wolli Creek railway station.
Include only the lines that the station is situated on. (eg. Wolli Creek would have only the T4, T8 and South Coast lines here and also in the train line template below.)
Use the heading |system1=Sydney Trains for Sydney Trains lines.
Use |line2=T4|left2=Arncliffe|right2=Tempe for each Sydney Train line
Use the heading |title=NSW TrainLink}} for NSW TrainLink lines
Use |line4=SCO|left4=Hurstville|right4=Central for each NSW TrainLink intercity or regional line.
In cases of stations with numerous services, said services should be hidden in the Infobox by using | services_collapsible = 1 to reduce the size of the displayed Infobox.
Services[edit]
- The previous "Platforms and Services" and Transport Links" sections are now combined under "Services"
- This section has been written for stations on the Sydney Metro which uses newer format pages in the https://transportnsw.info/ website. However it is also being introduced on some stations like Pymble railway station where transport link information had previously been removed.
- An example here is shown for Rouse Hill railway station
Rouse Hill has two side platforms. It is served by Metro North West Line services.[1][2] Rouse Hill station is served by a number of bus routes operated by Busways and Hillsbus.[3]

- The bus should follow follow the trains template box which in turn should be followed by {{clear|left}} to ensure that the next secyion starts below the bus guide..
- As at July 2020 the Bus Guide pdf is only available for a limited number of stations and hence can not be included for stations for which it is still to be created.
