For this assignment, the students will create a 'list' of women in the ancient Mediterranean who are attested archaeologically. Each student will contribute one woman, with a paragraph description about the relevant archaeological evidence and what it tells us about her. For this assignment, most of the women will come from the ancient Greek and Italian sphere (Mediterranean-wide), with a few women from Assyria.
