Law E512 does a deep dive into the concept of "rule of law" -- including definitions (of which there are many), measurement, utility, and implications thereof. Through this assignment, we will be looking at organizations that promote the rule of law. Students need to create / edit wikipages about existing rule of law organizations (of the students' choosing) to include a detailed and critical look at the organization's approach to rule of law within the context of materials we cover in class.
PhD students may request a different topic that is in line with their dissertation research. Explicit approval of the instructor is required prior to working on a topic that does not follow the above instructions.
