Usage[edit]

This template (shortcute {{ib}} is used for adding items in brief to Signpost stories. It has a bunch of parameters:

  • title: The title of the story as it will appear in the brief line.
  • 1: The names of a tag that are to be matched to this story by the index engine.
  • 2: Another.
  • ...
  • 5: Up to five anchor-tags can be defined.

For example: * {{ib|title=Wikimedia Netherlands chapter report|1=Wikimedia Netherlands|2=chapter report}}: [...] produces:

  • Wikimedia Netherlands chapter report: [...]

And you can now jump there with #Wikimedia Netherlands!

The full list of params:

{{Ib|
|title=
|1=
|2=
|3=
|4=
|5=
}}

It is not yet implemented. Why does it exist? This template's tags (param 1) are sniffed by the Signpost index engine and it provides anchors to particular stories, also used by tag series, via params 1 to 5.

The template's tags are sniffed by the WHAT?!!?!? jp×g 07:16, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
