Nice idea[edit]

Hello to you the organizers of the challenge : it's a nice idea. I just have one question : why only these 100 articles ? I'm a french contributor, and i've checked the list and there are only 16 articles not existing in french ! We agreed to concentrate on quality and hence to limit the number. We also wanted to be able to provide a reviewed (FA/GA/OK) Finnish version for each subject. I think there may be something to improve also in the 84 existing articles - more inline citations, perhaps? Adjustment of scoring rules[edit]

These scoring rules have been used in Finnish and in Norwegian for years, but Suomi100 is the first time we have logographic languages (Japanese and Chinese) participating. It has been suggested, that the rule "0.25 points for each word of readable text in articles. Bonus 5 points for 100 words." would be followed by definition to "In alphabetic languages a "word" is text between two spaces, in logographic languages the counterpart is here calculated by dividing the number of characters by 3."

To assess if the present rules seem unfair, have a look at the first Japanese entry - full page about Kurjenrahka national park, counts as 8 words. If you want to see how large the suggested change is, you can have a look at a test run at fi:Käyttäjä:UKBot/Sandbox using a factor of 2 characters per word for zh and a factor of 3 for ja.

Images[edit]

Hello to the Team.

The Scoring Rules say, that you get 5 pts per image. Obviously I got only pts for bytes for the two images I added to Finnische Fußballnationalmannschaft der Frauen. Have I misunderstood the rule or doesn't the bot know that I added images? --Geher (talk) 11:45, 24 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article not counted[edit]
