"List by country" navigational box[edit]

Palestine[edit]

The US State Department officially recognized the West Bank and Gaza as a country in 1997. The contemporary country of Palestine refers to "Palestine", "Occupied Palestinian Territory", or Palestinian Territory, Occupied according to the ISO, IANA, IOC, and FIFA. The link to Proposals for a Palestinian state doesn't accurately reflect current usage. harlan (talk) 05:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
