Thanks[edit]

Thanks for making this happen Alex. Derek.munneke 01:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Curiosity[edit]

Odd. Both User:QueyJoh and User:Izazael are brand new accounts whose only contribution is to this page. Should this event be open to just anyone, or should we limit it to active Wikipedians?--cj | talk 03:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gee, that would encourage people to take an active role in Wikipedia, wouldn't it? ;) Izazael 04:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:QueyJoh and User:Izazael are both friends of mine who are active on social networks on the web. T'is true that they are new to Wikipedia (as registered users), but they would be valuable wikipedian's if they do join the movement. I have taken the policy that if there are people i know that are interested in wikipedia, and would have intelligent comments to make at a meetup, then i have invited them. If this is not the policy we want to follow, then i will 'uninvite' them with appropriate explanation. Derek.munneke 04:51, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as your invitees they are most certainly welcome! :-)
I must apologise to our two new recruits: an unfortunate consequence of battling trolls and puppets is that after a while one becomes suspicious of new users who are immediately active in projectspace. Welcome aboard!--cj | talk 05:02, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I did actually have an account, but I haven't used it in so long, I couldn't even remember the username in order to get my password mailed to me. Tis understandable about trolls and knobcakes. Izazael 05:15, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday Party?[edit]

Just joking around a bit here and rambling on, But how many people have actually had a Wikipedian Birthday Party? For me it's a big number seeing as I am legally allowed to get my license. Yes, I would be Sixteen (It has a ring to it)I find it a bit crazy that the meeting it the day after my birthday even though it is a 1 in 365 chance of it being on the day of my birthday. bring out the birthday cake. An Apple a day keeps -The Doctor- Away.. Or does it! (talk)(contribs) 14:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
