Trains[edit]

Anyone coming up from London should be advised that Virgin Trains don't seem to be doing any offers that weekend, meaning the cheapest possible single fare from Euston to Piccadilly is £60 (£44 with a Y-P railcard). However I just managed to book it for £8.50 (young persons) using cheap deals from London to Sheffield on East Midlands Trains and Sheffield to Manchester on First Transpennine Express - takes about 45 minutes longer but definitely worth doing it that way round if you want to save money. - Zeibura (Talk) 21:20, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I can save about a tenner by going via Sheffield as well, from Durham. Not as impressive a saving as yours, and it would be a much more restrictive ticket... I'm trying to decide if it's worth it. --Tango (talk) 21:42, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure the Greater Manchester WikiProject would be interested in this. -- Jza84 · (talk) 01:31, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've alerted them of this [1]. -- Jza84 · (talk) 01:58, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

London -- Manchester[edit]

Is anybody driving from London to it? I'm a little cashstrapped so could really do with a lift:P Poeloq (talk) 22:09, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
