Travel[edit]

  • Option 2 is preferred by me; perhaps we could contact the Dutch and German groups to let them know we'll be around? Ironholds (talk) 13:44, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I added some sections about what people from neighboring countries can do; I myself in Dutch and will probably join in Cologne. --Catrope (talk) 20:49, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Smashing. Could you contact the Dutch wikipedia or chapter? Ironholds (talk) 21:13, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiSym[edit]

Hey!

If I'm reading this right, this arrives in time for WikiSym. Correct? Bastique demandez 18:10, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Indeedy; since some members are going to the board meeting and WikiSym is at the same sort of time, we've tailored it to arrive then. Ironholds (talk) 20:00, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discounts[edit]

On EN 447: Saving-Night fare is the lowest one, there are no reductions for groups. However, I'm afraid that the limited availability of those tickets will not be enough for all train-members. My father works in DB group, and they offer a 85 € per person fare (6-berth cabin, at least 12 tickets). --Nemo 21:43, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can someone find out what the estimated rate is for those of us who are not under 25, as I believe there are a number of us who will be interested!!! Bastique ☎ call me! 21:00, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Booking[edit]

Are we reserving tickets as a group or separately? Just want to know that so we can order as soon as possible. --Deryck C. 17:24, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know it as soon as possible. Also if as a group, how and when to collect expense. --Aphaia (talk) 13:51, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I believe an email was sent around; talk to Werdna. "expense"? Ironholds (talk) 14:16, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikitrain from Warsaw, Poland[edit]

Hello evrybody there. We will ride from Slovenia to Warsaw by car, make than a quick stop by my Polish friends and than take a train to Gdansk (we will attend Wikimania with presentation). We would like to know, if somebody knows some cheap train from Wawa to Gdansk. Polish guys, please reply! --Amazone7 (talk) 10:08, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Amazone7, the cheapest train from Warszawa Centralna to Gdańsk Główny is a "Pociąg Słoneczny" (Sunny Train) - departures once a day at 7:28 and costs about 35 PLN. TLK (Tanie Linie Kolejowe - Cheap Rail Lines) trains run frequently during the day, but are more expensive (about 53 PLN). The most comfortable, fastest and most expensive trains are EIC (Express InterCity). LeinaD (t) 11:22, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cologne[edit]

Is anybody interested to meet wikipedians from cologne during the stay there? We could arrange a short sightseeing and a dinner in a brewery-pub or something else. --Superbass (talk) 19:17, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will be in Cologne for 3 days (2 July evening - 5 July evening) before the Wiki-train! It'll be great if we can meet up. --Deryck C. 15:45, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'll set up a little schedule for the evening in Cologne and ask people to sign up for a visit of the Cologne Cathedral before having dinner in a brewpub. I'll do that tomorrow... --Superbass (talk) 21:33, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
done --Superbass (talk) 19:16, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
