More[edit]

I am adding more to this essay. I understand this subject very well, as I was blocked for tag bombing. Tag bombing is not just adding many tags to one article but also adding one or two tags to many articles. Also, not all editors who engage in tag bombing have an intent of promoting a point of view.R00m c (talk) 22:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

detailed reasoning on the tagged article's talk page[edit]

The essay says "Adding tags to articles should be accompanied by detailed reasoning on the tagged article's talk page to explain why the tags are needed.". This is clearly not the case. In most cases, it's obvious what the problem is with tags like {{who}}, {{cite this quote}}, etc.. This essay is overreaching. --Damiens.rf 16:20, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It goes on to say, "Tag bombing does not apply to the use of tags that are self explanatory; having the same information on the talk page is a redundancy." - SummerPhD (talk) 16:52, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Update the nutshell[edit]

I changed it from

" Adding multiple tags without explaining the reasoning for the tags can have disruptive consequences."

to

"Adding multiple tags without explaining the reason is disruptive"

Any objections? The second is more to the point. It is supposed to be a nutshell... The Sound and the Fury (talk) 16:38, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tag bombing the article.[edit]

Hey, are we allowed to tag bomb the article to hell? I think it would seem funny, an article about tag bombing being tag bombed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74opt (talkcontribs) 22:33, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I, for one, would find it useful to see an illustrative example, although probably not one involving the entire article. Ottoump (talk) 02:49, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
