Redirects[edit]

Hi Ian, the changes to the TFA blurb have introduced two redirects ie Commander of the Order of the British Empire and Companion of the Order of the Bath. They need to be piped but blurb is now protected. Ask for fix at Errors or you want to contact a friendly admin? JennyOz (talk) 01:51, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jenny, as far as I'm aware we've always presented these honours in this form per WP:NOPIPE so I was surprised to see them the other way in the previous blurb. Have I missed a change in guidelines...?! Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 06:29, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, Ian, sorry - fine in articles of course but different for main page hooks, items and blurbs (per WP:MPNOREDIRECT) which is pretty strictly enforced:) JennyOz (talk) 06:37, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ha, tks Jenny, that's a new one on me but then I don't seek to get articles onto the front page anymore because of the nonsense that comes from that exposure (the kudos and novelty wore off after the first few dozen...!) Dank, could you pls change per above but Commander and Companion should be capitalised, not lower case as in the previous version of the blurb, as they are proper terms for the awards and appear in that form in the article. Sure, done. - Dank (push to talk) 14:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Tks so much Dan, looks good -- and tks again Jenny for gently pointing out the error of my ways...! Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 14:14, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
