Two updates to reflect recent clarifications to the William S. Sadler article and in particular the lead of the article:

Sadler was notable as both a surgeon and psychiatrist. The lead sentence for the TFA blurb currently only states: he "was an American psychiatrist and author", more specifically it should be that he "was an American surgeon, psychiatrist and author" as the article likewise says.
From sources and after recent consensus on the article's talk page, it was decided the lead of the article should be clarified regarding the type of "being" that was supposedly channeled: "... whom he believed to be channeling extraterrestrials" ---> "... whom he believed to be channeling celestial beings"

Great. Stylistically, with the word "psychiatrist" having a link, do you think "surgeon" would best have one as well for consistency? It seems like either both or neither should be linked.

Something else BTW I just noticed with some wording a little further down: "Sometime between 1906 and 1911, Sadler attempted to treat a patient who spoke to him only while sleeping. Sadler spent years observing the sleeping man and eventually decided the man had no mental illness and that his words were genuine."

The first sentence implies the man otherwise never spoke to Sadler, which isn't quite right, the sources indicate he was normal and functional businessman in everyday life, and they talked about the night sessions when he was awake, but that "In fact, he is more or less indifferent to the whole proceeding, and shows a surprising lack of interest in these affairs as they occur from time to time."

How about something along the lines of: "Sometime between 1906 and 1911, Sadler attempted to treat a patient who spoke in unusual voices while sleeping." Wazronk (talk) 18:58, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
