merge or expand[edit]

As you can see we have a lot of articles here that needs cleanup or just needs to be merged. I think here is one of the best places to determine what to do with these kind of articles. We might need to start with the first particular sections to get the cleanup done but at least we are having progress. Jhenderson 777 18:27, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We may also need to take close looks at what is there. Some of the articles blend things. In most cases this is pointing out where the character is used to then dump plot. ie "Appearing in "X", the character's story is ..."
In some situations this maybe all we've got.

I admit that the inclusion criteria is sort of subjective, but mainly what occurred to me to put here are character articles that are simply plot or character role in the plot. Unfortunately, this is only the product of perusing about half the categories under our scope too... かんぱい! Scapler (talk) 18:58, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the sake of focusing this, I think we should start by deciding which James Bond characters are notable and which ones should be merged and/or redirected. 35 characters that are seemingly non-notable for a single franchise is a bit much. Harry Blue5 (talk) 20:02, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly... FWIW I can think of 4 MI6, 1 recurring "good guy", and maybe, maybe, 12 - 18 notable/memorable villains and "Bond Girls" that would need a bit of expansion outside of the novel and film articles. And that's coming from someone who enjoys the films but isn't a scholar or hard core fan of the franchise. Of the 35 listed, 5 fall into that grouping and 18 are missing (I assume/hope they don't need to be added). How likely is it that these can be compressed down to short, single paragraphs and shunted to 1 of 3 lists? - J Greb (talk) 20:36, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, there are more than 80 articles on James Bond characters, I was merely counting the ones on this list. Harry Blue5 (talk) 22:22, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
hrm... I'm going to put together some "working notes" together here... - J Greb (talk) 00:37, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
