Question[edit]

Hi. I'd like very much to participate in this. Is my understanding correct from the newsletter that the goal of this drive is to essentially improve one film article this month? If not, could you give me a clearer idea of the goals of this drive? Thanks! — Hunter Kahn (c) 14:57, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The goal is for each member to work on one article each in hopes of improving it to one of the higher classes. I realize now that nominations may take a while due to backlogs at GAN and the long process at FAC/FLC, so I'm going to reword the page. We'll keep track of the nominations and will note if they pass or fail. It's likely that not every member will work on an article, but even if a small percentage do, we'll continue to improve the number of good/featured content completed by our project. Due to the length of the nominations, the results will likely not be determined until August (if the nominations take a while). At that point, we can take a look to see how many editors participated and determine if its viable to start a contest (that results in barnstars or maybe other rewards) among members for completing the most good/featured content over a few months. I'm also hoping that this drive will inspire editors to take on GA/FA/FLs who had never attempted it before, while also improving articles in the process. This is a work in progress, and if you have any suggestions for modifying it, please point them out. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 16:51, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
