Sorry[edit]

The work you guys are doing is fantastic, so I'm sorry to say that if you are looking forward to seeing the list shrink next time it is updated, you are going to be dismayed at what I've been doing. I've added scores of {{BLP unsourced}}, (and {{refimprove}}, {{unsourced}}, {{wikify}}) tags to footballers in Category:Colombian footballers and Category:Peruvian footballers (2 mass creators of unsourced BLPs work in those areas). The Unsourced BLP list will probably grow some, but without going through the player categories and tagging all the unsourced articles, we will be fighting a problem of unknown scale. I'm going to do the rest of South America (except Brazil), and then latin central America next. Perhaps some of you would consider going through other continents or specific countries, please add your name and country/area to the checklist section if you can help King of the North East 00:09, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. This is something we need to do, and I'll volunteer to go through Turkey and Greece for now. Jogurney (talk) 00:13, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Erik9bot is also tagging BLPs now, so I'll expect the list will expand substantially. Rettetast (talk) 02:40, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Checklist[edit]

Monitoring new articles[edit]

I have tried to monitor User:AlexNewArtBot/AssociationFootballSearchResult for the last weeks, and my impression is that there are very few unreferenced BLPs being created at the moment. I have had some success messaging users who have created such articles and actually got one user to help us with the backlog. However, there is someone that just won't listen. I don't know hoe to proceed. I prodded one article, to try to get the point across, but that may be a bit pointy. Any Suggestions? Rettetast (talk) 21:51, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Club lists[edit]

If there is any interest in a list for a spesific club, please list them here with a reference to the player category. Rettetast (talk) 21:51, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Norwich City F.C. players Thanks --Dweller (talk) 15:06, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Rettetast (talk) 15:53, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Category:Hibernian F.C. players. I have one or two offline sources that can be used instead if there any still outstanding. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 07:21, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Valid Redirects?[edit]

Hello, wasn't sure where to ask this, and this seems like the best place. These 3 redirects were created yesterday, I just want to see if they are valid nicknames vs BLP violations or implausible redirects:
