How does Prosesize work?[edit]

I have installed Prozesize like itsays on its page, but I can't see anything showing up on other pages. Is it hiding from me somewhere??? Cowfemme (talk) 01:48, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Once properly installed, you should see a blue-linked "Page size" in the side bar to the left, under "Tools" (as it is on my desktop; it may be much different if you're using a mobile device). When you're on a page you want to measure, you press that link, and you'll get all the prose being measured highlighted in yellow (some text, such as bulleted lists, will be excluded; and you'll have to take extra steps to include that text), as well as a summary at the top of the page. Wikipedia:Prosesize may be a wrapper that automatically installs the java script that I may have installed myself. I have the following javascript in my /vector.js file underneath my user page:

/* "Page size" Javascript */
mw.loader.load('//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3ADr+pda%2Fprosesize.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript');
// User:Dr pda/prosesize.js

Or, as is given at User:Dr pda/prosesize.js, where this copy lacks certain helpful indenting:
