Clarifications requested[edit]

If a disease corresponds to multiple consecutive parent categories, like heart failure: BD10, BD11, BD12, BD13, BD14, BD1Y, BD1Z, do we list them all, as above, or with a hyphen: BD10-BD1Z? NikosGouliaros. Also, is there a manual of style for the Medical Resources template? For example, do I place a comma between the categories? NikosGouliaros (talk) 21:15, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Use/populate WikiData?[edit]

The 'Authority control' template can pull in it's data directly from WikiData. Would it be possible to enhance the *Medical condition classification and resources* and other templates you're targetting to be able to do that. This should allow the non-English Wiki's to benefit more easily. The WikiData property seems to be ICD-11 ID (MMS) (P7329), perhaps having the mapping in WikiData could be a helpful approach, assuming this isn't what is already planned. I've asked at wikidata:Wikidata:Project chat#The ICD-11 coding challenge. Much to my surprise, User:Ske answered that there actually is a way to import ICD-11 codes from Wikidata into Wikipedia. But I don't really get how it works. 😔 - Manifestation (talk) 10:48, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
