Hello a few days ago I asked about a wintersporting-event (World Junior Championship) which I think may have been held at the above-mentioned arena. And I asked about that on the article discussion-page here, but haven't got any answers yet. Can anyone confirm or deny that, with a reliable source for it ? Thanks in advance. - Hello Migrant! As you can see, this WikiProject isn't terribly active. I wish I could help you out but my knowledge in this particular area is limited. Maybe you could ask the Quebec Speed Skating Federation or the Montreal-Ahuntsic Speed Skating Club? Looking at the "entrainements" section of their page, it looks like they hold a few sessions at Maurice Richard arena (indoors, built 1962). - Thanks for the links to the skating club and federation. But the info of the rink you linked doesn't quite give me the right feeling that it was that arena the 1978 World Junior Championship in speed skating were held since an international championship requires a 400m speed skating oval. And your abovementioned Maurice Richard arena really looks like a icehockey-rink and that isn't big enough to contain a speed skating oval of 400m. My main Wikipedia is on the WP:NO (Norwegian). I can't find any information on an oval for the arena either, however, the ISU held its short track world championships there this year (here is a photo). It looks like it's usually an ice hockey rink that can be adapted for speed skating, but I'm not sure whether it fits the dimensions required for the 1978 championships. Are you absolutely sure it included long track? The arena also houses the offices for Canada's national speed skating team (see here). This website mentions that manmade ovals exist only in Calgary, Fort St. John, Quebec City, and Halifax, of which only Calgary and Fort St. John are indoors. Here is the info the same site has on Montreal's alleged natural rink, but nothing is mentioned on the park's official website. I have taken the liberty of emailing Speed Skating Canada to get a definitive answer once and for all; I will notify you of the results.

Matapédia Valley
Woohoo! I have completed the translation of Matapédia Valley, an article which has "good" status on the French wiki. I would appreciate it if someone could be so kind as to copy-edit it for me! - I'm usually a supporter of keeping accents on place names, but in that case I would peronally drop it because local English speakers (some English towns are close to the valley) pronunce the place of the "Matapedia" with the "e" sounding like an "e" in English, not like a "é" (hey) in French. Proposed deletion
User:Epeefleche has proposed Les Promenades King (a shopping mall in Sherbrooke) for deletion under the following rationale:
- NN 38-store, 120,000 square ft mall. In addition to it not being notable, the consensus, as reflected in the discussion at "Common Outcomes; Malls", is that we don't generally retain stand-alone articles of malls below 500K sq. ft. (some editors believe the cutoff is a higher square footage) – which this 120K sq ft. mall is clearly below.
