According to [1], which may be off, and a few maps and the minutes, numbers were assigned as follows:

  • 1929: 1-40 (these were assigned in an obvious pattern)
  • 1934: 41-45
  • 1935: 46-48
  • 1937: 49-50 (50 is the highest on a 1937 map)
  • 1938: 51-53 (53 is the highest on a 1940s map)
  • 1953, every state highway received a number: known additions are 54-58, 61-62, 66, 68-70, 72-77, 79-80, ...I'll get back to this
