I removed large chunks of material from various state subpages for presidential elections, mostly the 1984, 1988, and 2016 elections, for example, [1] and [2]. This was done because this content related to national campaign themes and events, and was only loosely related to the individual state subpages. Readers might be confused as to whether these events were specific to the state campaigns or the national campaigns. In some cases, I removed material starting with "The election results in X are also reflective of..." because the provided source did not connect the results with any individual state.
