Hi. Much of what I see on Wikipedia is very useful, and I have use Wikipedia for years. The write-up on the Elton John song "Philadelpia Freedom", however, is so bad it deserves comment. At the time, between 1975 - 1976, there were more than 2 dozen songs by the artists of the day - all written for and about the United States Bicentenial - to be used for the United States Bicentenial on July 4th 1976. I believe this song was one of the songs used for the July 4th event. Another such song is Seal's & Croft's "We May Never Pass This Way Again". To say Elton John was not about writing Pop tunes that were current is just plain silly. This Wikipedia write-up spends all of it's content DENYING this. Without any references to the contrary, this article stands as a violation of the standards of Wikipedia.
