Concerning work Tony's already done[edit]

WP:MOSCAPS: "Pronouns referring to deities" got taken right back out again. We've been discussing it continuously, and I'm hoping for quick progress. My call would be not to mention anything at all; one more thing for people to learn and then forget again.

OK, thanks. TONY (talk) 03:51, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:LAYOUT: I like your description :)

WP:LEAD: I don't know if it's important or not that we're no longer making any recommendation about the TOC. We could add, I suppose, that now an article should always begin by stating its subject, and "If appropriate give the location and time context." - Dan Dank55 (talk)(mistakes) 03:20, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think not sufficiently different from the previous advice. But in any case, I thought you were going to survey the areas I haven't looked at—the "gen" pages, were they? TONY (talk) 03:51, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. I feel like school let out early...it turns out it was an incredibly light month.

WP:WORDS[edit]

WP:WORDS: No substantive change in June.

CAT:GEN[edit]

WP:MOS, WP:MOSCAPS and WP:LEAD are mentioned above.

WP:Only make links that are relevant to the context: Linking dates only for the purpose of autoformatting is no longer required.

Other than the above, none of the pages in CAT:GEN had any substantive changes in June: Article development, Embedded list, Explain jargon, How to copy-edit, Manual of Style (links), Manual of Style (lists of works), Manual of Style (spelling), Manual of Style (text formatting), Manual of Style (titles), Self-references to avoid, Technical terms and definitions, The perfect article, When to use tables, Wikimedia sister projects, and Writing better articles. - Dan Dank55 (talk)(mistakes) 04:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Are you sure the GEN was in June? TONY (talk) 06:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just using "CAT:GEN" as a label for you to know which 19 pages I'm looking at (and I threw in WP:WORDS); there's no need to mention it unless you want to. I still take the position that it has value, but I haven't gotten anyone to debate me on this yet. The General style guidelines cat was created in May. - Dan Dank55 (talk)(mistakes) 12:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

The layout isn't working on my browser; there's a huge white space. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:43, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the space under the lead, caused by the image? How narrow is your window? There's a space on my screen, but not too large. TONY (talk) 06:08, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm on my laptop. Would it work to add the image to the actual transcluded file instead, so you can move it down? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 06:10, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
CAPITAL idea, ma'am. TONY (talk) 12:55, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked His Grace whether he can fit it in better than I have. TONY (talk) 13:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
