Yours Truly is an Australian pop-punk band from Sydney, New South Wales, formed in 2016. With their musical roots deep in pop-punk, emo-pop, and alternative rock, Yours Truly creates songs that emphasize pop melodies, catchy riffs, and hard-hitting rock guitars. Yours Truly is known for having deep, introspective lyrics that put singer Mikaela Delgado's heart on her sleeve.[1] Yours Truly have been credited as one of several bands who "reinvent[ed] pop-punk [in] 2021".[2]

History[edit]

Yours Truly was formed in 2016, by singer and frontwoman Mikaela Delgado, lead guitarist Teddie Winder-Haron, rhythm guitarist Lachlan Cronin, and drummer Bradley Cronan. Together they self-released their debut EP, Too Late for Apologies. in March of 2017. The group's debut singles "Winter" and "Strangers" received airplay on Triple J.

Following the success of their first album, they signed with the independent music label UNFD.[3] They immediately annouce their next EP, Afterglow, and single, "High Hopes".

"High Hopes" was released in January of 2018, teasing their upcoming EP.

Afterglow was finally released in April of 2019, to critial acclaim, with singles "High Hopes" and "Circles" being the most popular.

Yours Truly released their first studio album, Self Care, on September 18th, 2020. This album was a huge hit, peaking at number 19 on the ARIA Albums Chart.[4]

On July 9th, 2021, the band released the single "Walk Over My Grave", their first new music since Self Care.

Followed by the single "Lights On", and their new EP is this what i look like?, which was released on the July 15th, 2022.

Following the release of is this what i look like?, guitarist Lachlan Cronin and drummer Bradley Cronan leave the group to pursue other interests in 2023.[5]

That didn't stop Yours Truly from producing more music. In 2024, with their new drummer, Henry Beard, they released their next studio single, "Call My Name".[6]
